Paige and Matt met while working in Washington, D.C. After spending many years away from home for school and work, they decided it was time to move back home to Honolulu, HI to be closer to family and do good work on the islands.
They wanted to incorporate origami cranes into their ceremony, and wanted to tie the invites to their venue — the Waialae Country Club — by using navy and burnt orange. I brought in other colors to give more depth to the cranes and reference other aspects of the Hawaiian islands — beige for sand, lighter blue for ocean, and green for all the tropical leaves.
Paige and Matt wanted to send out all their invitations digitally, so in addition to the designs, I made some web friendly imagery they could send out to friends and family over email. The Save the Date features many flying cranes while the invitation keeps it simple with two.
They also wanted a little emblem to use on the website, so I created this little logo. It’s roughened on the edges to look more like a woodblock stamp.
