Romantic navy and pink Boston wedding

Shippin' up to Boston!

Van and Sean met at Boston College, and both their families have strong ties to the Boston area. Their wedding took place on campus, and the reception was held in nearby Quincy. They wanted a modern and romantic wedding invitation suite that highlighted their beloved city.

The invitation itself features a photo of the Charles river and the city skyline taken by a friend. While these invitations weren’t letterpress, Van wanted something that looked similar to that style so the suite was kept in a simple two-color design.

The Save the Date (turned into a magnet) was designed to reflect Sean’s other love — film. It’s meant to look like a movie ticket with art deco flair, and an ampersand to look like the countdowns that you’d often see at the start of old movies.

It was a pleasure working with Van and Sean — two wonderful people who know what they love and value those things above all else.

“Michelle did an amazing job with the design of our wedding invitations, wedding website, save-the dates, and other printed materials for our wedding. From day one, she placed great care in listening to our overall impressions and vision for the wedding, and perfectly captured those feelings in the design of the pieces. Working with Michelle was an absolute joy and we truly appreciated her suggestions for the artwork and her keen attention to detail. We couldn’t be happier with how the designs and final products came out, and all of that has to do with the passion and dedication that shines through in all of Michelle’s work.”
